Thai Vegan Steak with Jaew Dipping Sauce

Ingredients:
Vegan Steak
2 seasonal mushrooms
Vegan Marinade
A clove of garlic
Vegan Jaew Dipping Sauce
2 Tbsp Tamarind paste
1 Tbsp crushed toasted rice
Half a shallot
A little bunch of coriander
1 Tsp of Lime Juice
Palm sugar
1 Tbsp Vegan fish sauce
Salt
Chilli Flakes
Method:
Mushrooms
Chop the garlic finely. Remove the stems from the mushrooms, taking care not to damage the heads.
Coat the mushrooms with the marinade sauce and chopped garlic. Leave for 5-10 minutes.
Heat up the pan to medium high heat.
Gently fry the mushrooms until they are tender, around 2-3 minutes per side.
Serve with the pan juices.
Jaew Sauce
Make the Jaew sauce by adding everything together. Taste the sauce and adjust for chilli and lime to your taste.
